Introducing gadgets!
Hey peepos, I’ve been working on all around stuffs in the game, so there’s not much cool or groundbreaking stuff for me to share, but I feel like this is one of those things! It’s still a WIP, but here’s the gadget system.
Basically, you can have two gadgets on your character, of which there are 3 types. Offensive (Damage dealing), Defensive (Damage preventing), or Tactical (basically just cool stuff I want you guys to get creative and have fun with).
So far I’ve got a high-powered laser, a low-gravity modifier for verticality and getting places easier (alongside being fun to mess around with), and a scanner that shows where enemies are as an aid if you’re taking the stealthy approach. (See all in the linked video, don’t ask why it’s so blurry)
Feel free to give me some of your ideas if you want to see them in the game, I’d love to see what cool and creative ideas you can come up with! That being said, here are some of the ones I have planned already:
Offensive - Flamethrower
Offensive - Grenade Launcher
Tactical - Invisibility Cloak
Tactical - Grappling Hook (Who doesn't love those?)
Defensive - Shield (Can't use your primary though, think montagne from Rainbow 6 Siege)
Defensive - Placeable Shield (Think particle wall from Titanfall 2)
Duck Thief
Take down legendary owner of a famous pizzeria joint, but be careful, it's a duck eat duck world out there.
